THE GHOST
The walls of the house are the thoughts of you
that keep
me walking through the pain
I hid then inside each stone of the mortal construction
The
walls call me every night tender and complete
towards the wreck of one lost
embrace
in stone carved eternal
The walls
of memory stand strong in the grips of time
tomorrow and forever melted in
the ghost of the hurt
The dawn never comes.
my
ghostly pace lingers on centuries like a touch
on my cheek while I walk through
myself.

The Islamic Carpet and the Russian Royals-Did you know?
The richness of Islamic carpet design reached its zenith in the 17th century,
when European royalty began commissioning opulent carpets woven
with silk, gold, and silver threads and even semi-precious jewels.
The trend peaked in the Persian masterpiece given to the Hapsburg royal family
by Russian Tsar Peter the Great (1672-1725).
Years in the making, it contained
a silver medallion and a phenomenal 783 knots to the square inch
